It has been a while (as usual) and a lot has happened. We would officially like to blog the birth of Tyson David Zwygart 9-21-11. 9 lbs 21 ounces. Since it is now four months later I am just going to post a lot of pictures. Loving four!

Hannah's 1st Birthday Party

Hannah had a great first birthday! She had all her family that lives in town there, minus G-ma Zwygart (we missed you!) and was spoiled to death. She got a rocking chair from G&G Hobson and a blanket and baby from G Zwygart. She hasn't put them down yet. But I think her favorite present was finding out she will be getting a baby brother in September!

9 months already??

So it seems that I only post at 3 month intervals! Hannah turned 9 months this last Tuesday so of course we had to do a photo shoot! The poor girl is going to have a camera in her face her whole life. Here are some of her new accomplishments: (Enjoy the photos!)
-Crawls fast on all fours

-Gives low fives
-Waves hi & bye bye
-Successfully pulls herself up on everything
-Has four teeth (her two middle bottom and her two top fang teeth, I guess I am raising a vampire)

My beautiful (totally not a biased mom) baby turned six months this last week! Life has been busy but we are enjoying every moment of it. Hannah is such a happy little girl and we can already see her personality shining through. Happy Birthday Hannah!

Hannah arrived April 25, 2010 5:44am! Weighing in at 7lbs 12 oz, 20 inches long. She is beautiful!! If you want more details about the birth scroll down pass the pictures if you just want to admire her enjoy!! (I am not biased or anything)

We went to the hospital Saturday night and received my epidural at about midnight. Of course, I started feeling great...but a little too good. The epidural had a drip and rose too far up my body, my chest went numb and then my face, I asked the nurse if it was normal that I couldn't swallow. They immediatly pulled the epidural and told me I had to wait until I could feel the contractions again before they could reinsert it. Well, when we got to feeling the pain again my blood pressure was really high and the baby's heart rate was really low. I dilated too far and ended up having a natural birth. Things went well, Chad and the nurses were awesome and helped me through the breathing (we didn't take any birth classes and took the hospital tour that morning :). Unfortunatly though, the pain didn't end there, it ends up my epidural had a drip that went in the wrong area of my spine which results in brutal migraines 24/7. I thought that I could tough it out and did for five days but today I decided the pain was too much and went back to the hospital and received a spinal patch. They did another epidural but instead of inserting medicine they insert my blood to plug the hole. My headache went away and we are left with sore back. Despite all the pain though I can honestly say motherhood is worth it! Chad and I are loving parenthood and look forward to all the new things that it brings!

Baby Update

For those of you that are curious (if anyone still reads this blog because I am a major slacker) we are two weeks out from our due date! I have started my weekly Dr. appointments and everything is going great. I haven't started dialation but have started thinning. This baby girl will be here before we know it! I'm going to do better at posting so check back because next time our family could be three!

Spring at last!

I would have to say I have the best parents in the world. Even though most of us are married or in college already "the Easter Bunny" still visits our house and hides our eggs and our baskets! It is still a big family tradition to dye eggs the Saturday before (if I look tired in all these pictures it's probably because I am...two more weeks and probably less sleep but maybe I'll be comfortable! Here we are dying eggs- these specific ones are a tribute to Sam and Haley.

After 25 years you think the Easter Bunny would run out of good hiding spots but nope, he's got skills. It took my a while to find my basket but the rewards are delicious!

Easter morning craziness! And this is before eating any candy.

15 3/4 + 1 = The new Hobson Family!

Scary but true, the Hobsons have added one more to the family! Angelie and Bryan Bauer were sealed together on March 27, 2010 in Boise! Bryan is a great addition to the family and as you can see from the picture below we are all very excited! Here are just a few pictures from the wedding...if you want to see more visit my facebook.

The new Hobson family (again minus Haley and Sam who are both in Japan serving missions). The 3/4 is our baby who is due in two weeks!!Hobsons and Frys! The whole Fry family was able to travel and make it to the wedding. It was super fun to have them in Boise- it had been too long!

Christmas 09

Chad and I enjoyed being back in Boise for the Christmas Season and with both families in town we kept busy! Here are some of our Holiday happenings:

1. My mom substituted the whole week before Christmas for a teacher whose mom passed away. Chad and I also volunteered at the school and redid her bulletin board. Chad made the big gingerbread man and house and I did all the borders and letters. Then the 1st grade class decorated the little gingerbread and peppermints...cute huh?

2. Decorating the Christmas tree is an event here. Our tree topper is a little unusual (a teddy bear), we rotate every year who gets to put the bear on and this year Chad got to! Chad, consider yourself official! The next picture is us in front of the finished tree.

3. Every year the whole Hobson family gets together and goes caroling. Last year it was freezing and this year it was actually not too bad and my stomach is still small enough that I can zip up my coat (always a plus!) - I don't think Chad knew the pic was being taken.

4. We spent Christmas Eve with my family because we were able to talk to Haley and Sam on their missions! They are both doing excellent and it was exciting to talk to them. We also decorate boxes to put our presents in Christmas morning. Chad and I combined and did Santa's sleigh with a reindeer. There wasn't much box left when we were done but I think it turned out great!

5. Dinner at Tucanos Brazilian Grill. This place is delicious and well worth it!!!!

6. Of course, Christmas Eve pajamas! These are some comfy sweats!

7. Christmas morning started early with opening our gifts to each other and from my family at the Hobson household then we went out to Nampa and spent the rest of the day and spent the night with Chad's family. Our big gift to ourselves was a new video camera so we can record all the baby events this year!

8. And last but not least on Christmas Day with Chad's whole family together and in town we did family pictures. I was super impressed we got it all done in 30 minutes!! Props to the Zwygarts!!

Christmas is a big deal at the Hobson household. Since Chad and I are living here right now we got to be right in the middle of it all! One of the biggest things is my Dad's Christmas lights...and this year he was featured as a house to see in the newspaper! So Dad after many years congrats on the recognition! We LOVE 'EM!!

Tis' the Season for Change

Well, if you haven't heard Chad and I have left the warm weather of Arizona and traveled the 1000 miles back to Boise, ID just in time for 27 degree weather (that's how warm it is right now!). Chad's company did a batch of layoffs and we were the newest hire so that means we get to go... but due to luck and prayers Chad was able to work a seasonal job for the last month while I finished out the season at Dorian until we moved. We are currently staying with my parents while we job search (hopefully staying in Boise and moving into our house!!). I was able to transfer back to the Dorian Boise branch and we both love having family close by and also not having to use the GPS to go places!

Now for the exciting news...I decided Chad and I are the best secret keepers in the world (and it's a lot easier when you live in a different state from your family)! We are PREGNANT!!! On Sunday I will be 20 weeks along. Our little girl is already active, I can feel her moving, Chad is very anxious to feel her too, and will arrive on April 22, 2010! We told our families when we moved back to Boise Thanksgiving weekend and yesterday told my grandparents when they returned from visiting my cousins in Seattle. If you have seen me and I didn't say anything it's because we were waiting to tell the grandparents so I apologize, nothing personal! But, now the news is public and we are excited to share!! Congrats to all my friends who recently had babies or are on the same track as we are!

Chad and I finally went to a concert together and it couldn't have been better! It was an outdoor fest in a park, downtown Tempe. It started out being a little warm (yeah still in the 100s) but once the sun set it was super nice! The band lineup went like this:

Now you may ask why the B-52s? I have no idea, but the fact that I got to scream Love Shack along with the crazy old group made the whole thing worth it! Chad was super excited when he realized Gavin Rossdale was part of Bush- and who doesn't love Colbie and Jason? Great first concert!

Slide Rock

Sarah and I were finally able to escape the heat for a day and head for the mountains for a little bit of cooler weather (105 F) and some fun. Below: Slide Rock near Sedona AZ. We heard that this was the hot spot for people in the Pheonix area, but we were still amazed to see the amount of people there that day. The next two photos are of Sarah and I jumping from a 25-35 ft cliff located at the bottom part of the park. There was also a few higher jumps as well but this was the spot for the young guys to show how brave they were to the girls. Lucky me! Sarah's already made her choice.

The next few photos are of the slide rock on the upper part of the river. This part was more for the kids, but we loved it just as much.

If you are ever in the Phoenix area, we would definitely recommend visiting Slide Rock.

The 4th of July

Chad and I were able to go to McCall (Donnelly) over the fourth of July for my family reunion. We DROVE the whole way non stop. It was a crazy 17 hours after Chad working all day. But it was worth it to get to the cabin before everyone woke up. After the cabin we were able to go to the temple with Angelie to receive her endowments and then we went to lunch with Chad's family. On our way through Utah we were also able to stop and have lunch with Chad's Dad. So, we can say that it was a very successful trip. Here are some of our activities (there are a lot of pictures on this post but they are all fun so scroll to the end!):

Chad and I found this headboard next to the dumpster at our complex (people throw away so much here! There is a couch every week) We checked it out and decided it was still good with a little TLC. So I sanded it down and restained it on our little porch. Then we decided to do our dresser to match it. My arm almost fell off from sanding but it was a fun project and now our furniture matches!

Computer Woes

A word to the wise...do not be cheap like me and not buy the anti-virus program when it expires because you will end up paying Best Buy $150 to fix it! I had some major viruses that froze my computer. They couldn't fix it so we ended up having to reboot my computer, meaning they delete EVERYTHING from the computer and take it back to factory settings! For those of you that know me I use the computer ALL the time. I might have had a little breakdown over all the music and programs lost but luckily I am obsessive about backing up pictures and did not lose one!!

My parents sent Chad and I a great gift in the mail a few weeks ago...an Entertainment Book, you know the one with a mass load of coupons in it? We decided since there was a break in the 100 degree weather (it was still high 90s) a couple weeks ago we would go exploring. I saw a coupon for a Wildlife Zoo and Aquarium. We were able to feed the giraffes and realized last year at almost the same exact time we went to the Colorado Springs Zoo for a meeting for Chad's work and we also fed the giraffes there! I guess we like em.

Tis' the season for weddings!

May was a great month, not only were Chad and I able to celebrate our one year anniversary but we were able to enjoy a few other weddings!

First was my cousin Kyle and his wife Hailey. I was in Boise when they were married but Chad was able to make it to the reception here in Mesa. Congrats cuz and welcome to the family Hailey!

Next was one of my best friends Ashley aka George. We were able to attend the sealing, Brent is a boy version of George and we are super excited for them! I LOVE this picture of the six of us, it is a little High School Musicalish but you HAVE to have a jumping picture when it comes to us.

And last was Chad's cousin Joel and his wife Chelsey. They had a great sealing and also had a ring ceremony for her family. They couldn't have asked for better weather and the ceremony was gorgeous. Thanks for the Goodwood! Mmmm. Congrats guys!

One great year down, eternity to go!

Chad and I have now been married for a year! Time flies by, and mand has it been a busy year for us. We've lived in three states, graduated from school, got our first real job and much much more. For our anniversary we stayed at a little Bed and Breakfast in Greer, AZ. We went mountain biking, fly fishing and fed raccoons our graham crackers while enjoying some hot chocolate on our porch. It was a wonderful weekend in cooler temperatures!

We also stayed with one of Chad's co-worker's family. Their mini horse mated with a donkey and produced this:

Two out of my mom's seven kids are now on missions to Japan. Haley entered the MTC in May and Sam has been in Japan for a year now! We miss them both but are super excited for them.

Even though Easter was almost a month ago I decided to still put pictures up. We started off the Easter weekend by attending the Mesa Temple Easter Pageant. It was amazing. We met Chad's friend from work there, Tim and his wife Tori.

The next night we dyed eggs and on Easter morning after church we hid baskets for each other.

Angelie's Visit

Angelie came to visit us during her Spring Break. We started out the week with our usual after church picture and then we drove to Mesa to show her the temple. They have a really cool cactus garden and check this...the street running behind the temple is Hobson. A perfect photo op.

One night we walked up to "A" mountain to show her the city of Tempe and Phoenix.

Most of the afternoons we spent lounging by the pool. Angelie came just as white as me and left darker...I will never get a tan here. When Chad got home from work we had a BBQ.

Angelie joined our pizza night. Chad showed off his pizza skills, all those years at lotsa motsa are paying off!

And last but not least we hit up a Spring Training game we had awesome seats. Then that night we went to an ASU softball game and saw Angelie's friend from Boise. It was a great week.

Pizza Nights

Mom and Dad's Visit

Well we had our fist visitors in Arizona! My mom and dad came to visit on their way home from a business trip to the Bahamas. They were here Friday night through Sunday afternoon and unfortunatley I ended up getting strep throat, had a fever of 103 and we spent their last hours with us at the doctors office...we did though have a ton of fun! Thanks for coming!! We miss you already.

*We started their visit by showing them around the complex and our little mini Mexico down the road, Guadalupe.

*Then we went to Castle n Coasters. It is like a miniature amusement park/miniature golfing place. We had a lot of fun being outside and riding all the rides, we even got Chad to ride the Merry-go-round, you are never too old to ride it!

*We ended the night with some miniature golf and dinner, then my sickness started kicking in...Love you guys!

Camping in January???

One great thing about living in Arizona is you get to enjoy the outdoors in the middle of the winter (without getting cold)! We wanted to get out before I started working so we met Peter about halfway in Lake Havasu. It was a beautiful weekend. We explored the town a little bit, Chad and I took a fairy ride to California, hiked a little, and sat around the campfire.

Since we have moved to Arizona we decided to become Cardinal fans. We watched the playoff game a couple weeks ago and thought if we were going to start supporting our local team we had to do it the proper way. So we got decked out in our red and black and cheered them on to the superbowl! Chad was a good sport and put on a pair of workout pants I have. He normally doesn't wear red pants.

Hole in the Rock

We were able to finally get out and explore Tempe a little bit. We wanted to go for a hike and ended up here at Hole in the Rock. It is this little park next to the zoo. We had fun being outside in the middle of January!

Chad climbed around to the top (which was scary because it was slick rock and a straight drop off!).

Well, after lots of help from family and friends we loaded up the U-Haul and started our journey to Arizona.
1st day- we left Boise on the 26th and started our drive to SLC. We had to drive through Pocatello because the highway was closed and it took us about 9 hours to get there! Driving the U-haul over icy roads with the windshield wipers not working was SCARY!! I'm glad I was driving my car... (yes, we were in seperate vehicles the whole time). But we were able to see Aaron and Melissa on the road on their way to Boise!

2nd day- Leaving Aaron's house we started our was to Las Vegas to stay with Chad's bro. We made pretty good time and got there early enough to go down to the strip and see the Wynn Encore, which Peter had been the PM on.

3rd day- We woke up and had breakfast with Peter and then packed up again and drove to Yuma, AZ. It took us ALL day to get there, we got to our hotel and I locked my keys in my car, so we had to wait for AAA to come, let's just say we were sick of traveling by then!

4th day- We wake up in Yuma, AZ and learn for sure that the company needs us in Chandler AZ on a different project, so after looking for housing in the morning we packed up again and headed to Chandler. We checked into another hotel and went and found Chad's job site!

5th day- We went apartment searching all day and decided to live in Tempe. We found a place but they were closing for the day so we had to go back the next day.

6th day- Our last day in a hotel!! We signed a lease contract and spent our New Year's Eve trying to find a restaraunt and playing a board game in the hotel trying our HARDEST to stay awake till midnight. We crashed about 5 min. after the hour. Let's just say we were happy to sleep in our own bed the next night!!!!

Merry Christmas

Dad's Beautiful Christmas Lights! (and this doesn't even show the other side of the house) Good work pops!

As per tradition we all got new pajamas on Christmas Eve. We decided to do this pose in honor of Sam in Japan. He always does it. Chad and I moved in with my family for a week so we could pack everything in the U-Haul before Christmas day.

Our first Christmas together!! It was bitter sweet (we moved the next day). But we enjoyed being able to spend time with both of our families. It was a perfect way to end our time in Boise.

Later that afternoon we went and spent time with Chad's family, playing games and eating a delicious lunch! This is Chad's mom and nephew Chase.

Helium Fun

This video is awesome. We tried sucking the helium out of Chad's graduation balloons and were going to sing "We Wish you a Merry Christmas" but when we all turned around to sing the helium didn't work. It is hilarious, listen ver closely at the end where Haley is singing in a wierd voice trying to make it work...Chad and Tyler too. We all start singing in high voices all on our own. Enjoy

Let the Festivities Begin

To start off our Christmas season Chad and I both got sick and ended up sleeping at my parent's house one night because ours was growing mold and cold, but luckily we were there the next morning to decorate the Christmas tree. Sorry we look so disgusting!

We were also able to make it to Rachel and Tyler's choir/orchestra Christmas Concerts. Some were long but for the most part it was nice to get into the Holiday Spirit.

For Dad's Christmas present we all pitched in and got him Cable, yeah now that all the kids are out of the house Mom decided it was okay. We gave it to him a few days before Christmas so we could all get together and watch BSU in the Poinsettia Bowl. Sadly we lost but we're still fans! Chad and I even got new shirts for $3! Class of 2008, baby!

Some other festivities included the annual Hobson Caroling Party, always an adventure. It was fun seeing all the cousins before we left town.

And lastly the good ol' ward Christmas party. Our ward was a little high school reunion for me. It was sad to say goodbye to them and also our little primary class. Chad and I had a blast teaching the CTR 5 class this year. We acted out the nativity our last Sunday there.

Well, Chad thought this day would never come but it has and I am so proud of him! He has worked super hard these last 3 years going back to school and doing something he enjoys (we hope). It all payed off too, we received a job from McCarthy Construction in Arizona as a Project Engineer. Thanks to everyone who supported him throughout the years, now enjoy the pics.

I hope Chad knows what he got himself into marrying a photographer. I made him jump a few times to get a picture to go with mine...what a guy!

During Thanksgiving Break we went to the football game. It was a nice night and we watched the Broncos complete an undefeated season.

Chad has been working super hard in school so a few weeks ago, before it started getting too cold I took Chad to Ste Chapelle and we had a picnic overlooking the vineyards. The jumping picture was a challenge this time but after about 15 trys (no joke) we came up with this.

Decision '08

Along with the election decision Chad and I have been trying to decide what we are going to be doing come January and the decision has been made!!

We will be moving to Phoenix, AZ where Chad will be working as a Project Engineer for McCarthy Construction.

We will be sad to leave family but will not deny we are looking forward to warm weather!

Halloween Happenings

To start our Halloween Week off, we had FHE with my family and carved our pumpkins. Chad and I are enjoying spending our first Holidays together!

Everyone with their finished products!!!

All week my mom helped us make our costumes! Isn't she amazing?? We went as Nacho libre and Incarnacion. On Halloween day, I worked and Chad went to school. That night we went to dinner with Joel and Chelsea and then played games for a while. We called it a night early because on Saturday Chad got to take an 8 hour test!!!! Later that night we went to a Halloween party and had some fun! Thanks Tab, Kasha, and Jen- it was awesome!

Chad seems to be winning a lot lately but he won the Funniest costume award! And I had to throw the other picture in: it is Aaron, Melissa, the triplets and Tanner. They went as Snap, Crackle and Pop. Aaron was milk, Melissa the spoon and Tanner the strawberry! Good work guys.

Fall Days = Busy Days

Where has the month of October gone? Life has been crazy here at the Zwygart household. If Chad and I are both home on the same weekend it is a blessing. I have been working a lot at Dorian. It was homecoming season so every Saturday night I spent at a high school dance. One weekend Chad was able to come cashier for me, it was super fun to have him on the job! I also traveled a couple of times one weekend to Tri-Cities and another to Seattle to work in their branches up there. Chad on the other hand has been going crazy with school. It seems like he just finished his mid-term tests and it is already time for the next ones. On top of that interview time has come. A few weekends ago Chad interviewed with a company in San Francisco. He enjoyed the beach but we did not receive that job. Then this last weekend he flew to Pheonix and interviewed there and we are waiting to hear back. While there the company rented a race track for the evening- Chad won first place and then was able to hook up with an old buddy, Roger before flying home. We have a lot of decisions to make! We would LOVE to stay in Boise but we'll see where life takes us. In what spare time we have we've been enjoying the beautiful fall weather we are having!! We are looking forward to November when we can enjoy some time together and with family.

After our afternoon of boating we had a ping pong tournament between couples and also indivduals. As you can tell from the picture we all took this very seriously and kept our game faces on. We had to have something to identify our teams with. Chad and I chose wigs. Also, props to Chad for winning the singles tournament!!

Adventures at Lucky Peak

About a month ago (yeah I am really slow at posting things!) My friend George came to town for a visit. As luck has it, I had the Saturday off which isn't common! We started our day by going boating with her sister and brother-in-law. We knew it was going to be a little cold at the lake but we got something better than cold water...About a 1/2 hour into the trip a nice storm came up over the dam, bringing heavy rain, wind, thunder and lightning. We decided we better get off the lake ASAP seeing as we didn't want to die. So we took the boat out waited the storm and of course got back in. We were going to enjoy some hot chocolate but Kaley only brought hot water!

All we did was surf. In the picture on the left I was about to throw the rope into the boat but was busy singing along with "Good Fight" by Dashboard and crashed right after the pic was taken.

Casino Night

Last weekend Chad's sister threw a "Casino Night" party. It was a blast! Chad and I learned how to play (with all the real rules) Texas Hold Em', Roulette, Craps and Blackjack. Everyone was given the same amount of chips when they arrived and could gamble the night away. Lots of people came dressed up. Some did the 70's style (including us) and some played the high roller scene- there really wasn't any rules to dressing up it just made the night a lot more exciting and fun! Below are Chad's sisters- Ruth and Katie aka Bunny and Red and Jeremy and Rick- I forgot their casino names.
One pic shows our luck at the craps table and also Chad dealing for the Roulette table- "No more Bets"!! And Peter even made it up from VEGAS for the party! All in all it was a great night for "SHOW ME THE MONEY!!" Thanks Tabitha and Andrew!

End of Summer

Well we made it through our first summer together! Life is awesome. We have left Fort Collins, CO and have moved back to Boise. We are living in a small apartment across from BSU. Chad is loving that because he can walk to school and work for his last semester. I am currently working for Dorian Studio photographing school pictures and sports for them. We'll see what comes up next. Anyway, during all the getting ready to move, moving and removing I slacked A LOT on the blog! So here is an update of the last days of our summer:
1. We made it to visit Aaron and Melissa and our new nephew Tanner! We had some fun doing family pictures and of course ones of the triplets! (for more of those visit Aaron and Melissa's blog!) Thanks guys for letting us crash and play Rock Band. Hopefully we'll make it down soon!

2. Chad took me down to his hometown of Glenwood, UT! It was awesome for me to be able to put a picture to all of his stories, and see where he grew up. We also were able to see Chad's Dad and step mom. This trip was complete with a stop to Ideal Dairy where we picked up a childhood treat for Chad and his family.

3. We were able to make it to the Twin Falls, ID temple open house. It is a beautiful building and was a neat experience.

4. Over Labor Day weekend we went to my grandparents cabin with my family. Besides the cold weather we had a great time playing and relaxing. These pictures are of our adventures with the pedal boat. We crossed the lake with my sisters and made that awesome sand castle. As we were getting ready to leave we noticed that our boat had floated away! It is that little blue speck in the water. My mom and Grandma I guess, noticed from the cabin window and were laughing at us forever! We were clueless

5.We also went to the Colorado Springs Zoo where Chad had a business meeting in the morning and we got to feed giraffes in ths afternoon. Cool huh?

6. Sarah Jeppson and her family were in Vail, CO and I was able to go spend the day with them. It was super fun. We had an adventurous hike and then rode the ski lift to the top at night. The view was gorgeous!

7. My family came to visit us in Fort Collins. We had a lot of fun doing a lot of hikes in the park, celebrating my birthday, hitting up the drive in movie, playing rummy all night, and enjoying a friendly tennis game! They also helped me pack and drove Chad's car home. You guys are the best!

8. And last but not least, for the last two summers Chad and some friends have been renting a cabin for the weekend in McCall, so this year I got to come along. We played games, went swimming and did the "cliff" hike (picture on the left) and then Chad and I snuck away one night and found this amazing hot spring.

So we have made friends with our next door neighbors, the Blads. Last weekend we went up to the park and did a hike then roasted some mallows with them! Eden, their youngest daughter, is starting to warm up to Chad. Too bad we are leaving in two weeks! It was fun to take the girls to the waterfall- they have been living in a small town in Arizona and had never seen one before.

Camping in Estes

Well, last weekend we had another successful camping trip. We originally wanted to camp in Rocky Mountain National Park but it turns out you have to show up at like 5 am to get a camping spot so we were able to find a back roads spot 10 miles outside Estes Park. It was a beautiful spot and the weather was much warmer than the last camping trip!!! On Saturday we drove back into the park and did a hike that follows a bunch of lakes and streams that connect the lakes (see pics below).

When we stopped at the sign above there were SO many squirells. Had to take a picture!

Again, there was a lot of snow! We were sliding all over to make the timed picture!

The final lake! It was beautiful- It is called Emerald lake. If you look closely you can see three waterfalls coming down off the mountain.

BEST of all! On the way home we saw a big horned sheep!!!

4th of July/Peter's Visit

Peter (Chad's twin) came up from Vegas aka Hell to enjoy the cool air and visit his coolest new in-law, and I guess Chad too. It was fun getting to know Peter better because I only met him for a few hours before the wedding.

We had to take Peter to Rocky Mtn National Park! We found a waterfall hike...surprise, surprise. This one was about 8 miles round trip with numerous falls along the way. This one was at the beginning of the hike.

It is still cold enough that there was snow at the top of the mountain. This is our snowman we made.

Peter snapped this on the way back down the mountain, about 1/4 of the way back down. This is Cyclopse Cascades.

Chad and Peter both joined the Chaco sensation! But an 8 mile hike is not the best idea to try out your new shoes...poor Chad! Luckily there was a nice hiker that shared her first aid kit!

This is nature at its best! Welcome to Colorado.

Colorado Fun

Here are some pictures of some things we have enjoyed doing in Colorado:

A lady from work told me that we should go hiking about a hour and a half from Fort Collins. We decided to take a drive up there one day to check it out and turns out it is actually Rocky Mountain National Park! The place is beautiful and we saw some amazing animals. This buck was chillin right in the middle of a campground- we approached him (which we later found out is against the law) for this pic. He was HUGE, when he was standing easily bigger than a horse!

This was the same day on a different road- there was three elk feeding right by the side of the road! Just for everyones information he was really this close (only about 10 feet)! Awesome!

This is just a small view of the park and the famous Rockies.

Chad and I like to play games together- this Jenga tower was Super tall!

One afternoon Chad and I rented these trikes and road on a bike path out to the foothills. They were really fun. Chad enjoyed using his bell trying to roll it, and ride on two wheels. We highly recommend them to anyone.

We found another waterfall driving up the Poudre River on our way to camp.

Chad and I at our campsite. It was a little chilly at night but our site overlooked a lake and was beautiful. Also, our tin foil dinner and breakfast was delicious!

On our way home from camping we found yet another waterfall. We wanted to see where this one was coming from so we hiked up this mountain with no trail and it turns out it comes right through the middle of the mountain. Someone blasted through it and put a cement trough for the water to come through. We also saw a badger on our hike. As you can tell, Colorado has a lot to offer!

Well, Melissa inspired us to create a blog and Chad got this all set up! We have been enjoying Colorado very much. Chad's company set us up in a pretty nice apartment right next to a beautiful park where we have been practicing our tennis skills and enjoying the bike paths that are EVERYWHERE! Chad found me a road bike on Craigs list and we like to cruise around town together. Work is going well, Chad is learning a lot on the job and enjoys his co-workers. We are new at blogging but hopefully this will last...
